Biography

After his PhD in 2006 in the domain of audio processing with machine learning, Jérôme Louradour did a post-doc with professor Yoshua Bengio on deep learning, at a time when neural networks were starting to achieve promising results without being popular yet. Jerome has then been working in the industry for the last 10 years, implementing scalable and robust state-of-the-art Machine Learning approaches for applications in image and natural language processing, such as handwritten text recognition, topic classification, question answering and named-entity recognition. His main working motivation is to make machine learning algorithms work in the wild.
